Jesus promises that His burden for us is light. So we can trust Him at His word. For He does not lie.
Can we truly live out Jesus’ promise of a yoke that is easy to bear?
Two reasons why it may seem like His burden is not light: we are taking a burden or yoke that God hasn’t set out for us. It may be our impatience or lack of trust that makes the burden heavy.The other one is if we do not fully embrace the grace God has given us, it seems heavy. We may go through heavy things, but God will supernaturally carry us with His grace.
“Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:29-30 NIV
