Bringing God with you every moment is a choice.
We are in desperate need for a Savior. We are nothing without God. All the talent, money and influence in the world doesn’t make a bit of difference if God is not with us. We can’t do it alone. Once we realize our complete dependence on God and His saving grace through Jesus Christ, we won’t make any decision or take any actions unless we know that God is going with us!
When we finally begin to rely on our limitless God, He can do the miraculous through us and our efforts, and everyone will know that
He is with us.
Whatever we do and wherever we go, we want to ask God to join us.
So how do we do that?
Here are 7 Ways to Bring God with You THIS Christmas.
1. Bring God with You By Seeing Your Need for Him.
God is the Creator of all things. He dwells outside of time, and He sees our victory. He has umlimited resources ready to help us achieve His will, but we must rely on Him, then God can fulfill His plans in and through us.
2. Bring God with You By Not Moving Right Away.
Fools act on impulse. Once we realize we need God, we will less likely jump ahead of Him. Waiting on God’s timing is one of the most difficult discipines to learn, yet the most powerful.
3. Bring God with You by Relying on Him for Everything.
God’s system of doing things is different than the world’s system. When we rely on human understanding, we miss all that God has for us. God often only shows us a few steps ahead because the full picture won’t make sense. But we can trust God knows what He’s doing.
4. Bring God with You by Praying Every Day.
Seeking God every morning places our feet firmly on His path for our life. Whether He wants us to wait or to go, we can trust that we are right where He wants us to be every day.
5. Bring God with You by Praying About Everything.
Prayer is our weapon against fear. When our thoughts and actions are motivated by fear, we are going in the wrong direction away from God’s will. Making choices out of a spirit of fear leads to disaster because we start making decisions outside of God’s protection.
6. Bring God with You by Reading Scripture Every Day.
Whether we read our Bible, read Christian literature and/ or listen to sermons, we can drink from the Word of God daily.
7. Bring God with You by Allowing Jesus to Renew You.
We will never be perfect. Even if God is going with us, we will sometimes stumble and fall. We can either fixate on our mistakes or understand that the Blood of Jesus is constantly at work cleansing and perfecting us. Our sins are gone. We have been redeemed.
“But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7 NLT).
“Jesus looked at them intently and said, ‘Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible'” (Matthew 19:26 NLT).
